Life on the palm

Hey squaddies
On my recent trip to Dubai I stayed at the Rixos The Palm Dubai for the first time and  took full advantage of the good weather, total relaxation and friendly vibes.
It was such a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, a place to really enjoy the main reason most expats come to the Middle East for: sunshine and luxury resorts
I was also glad to be able to swim up to the pool bar for a cocktail or two whilst overlooking the sea and city skyline view.
The hotel has a number of restaurants and bars including the 'Eden Beach Club' - where just last week rapper Busta Rhymes performed. While I was staying there they had a huge party night for their 2016 ATM Party. No expenses were spared from the cool decor to the food, drinks and DJ, it was a wild one!
For those seeking more relaxation there is the tranquil Anjana Spa which has separate areas for men and women with a warm jacuzzi facing towards the sea. I also took a water taxi to the Marina one day which was a fun way to travel and see more of the city.
Dubai you have been great, I recommend the hotel for anyone who wants a really chilled out escape whilst in Dubai and I am glad to have gone before those extreme hot summer months kick in!
