Deconstructed Shirting

Hey squaddies, STRIPES and deconstructed shirting are two STRONG trends of the current season and these were the inspiration behind this recent look. The shirting ASPECT  for this look was inspired by this season's 'BANKER STRIPES' trend seen on the runways of NYFW at Self Portrait, DKNY and Rag and Bone. (Be sure to passby our Pinterest page to check out some of my fashion inspo pins related to this look!)
Those of you who have been following the SQUAD for a while would remember last year when I EXPERIMENTED with deconstructing my own shirt (here) I was already obsessed with the concept of making something so old and boring to be new and EDGY!

THIS look was styled by stealing the hubby's shirt and wearing it over a GREY vest, completely deconstructing traditional MENSWEAR workwear. Finished with grey trousers, this look just fit perfectly with the CONTRAST of the creative space at Doha Fire Station (an old fire station turned art gallery) which I always enjoy visiting.
Be sure to check out the Fire Station Gallery when you get the chance, they are currently running an exhibition of Piccasso and Giacometti artworks, and I am sure you will be inspired by the SURREALIST pieces on display as I was.
