4 reasons to add sparkles to your Fall wardrobe

Hey squaddies, it is time to add some DRAMA in the form of HIGH fashion and SHINE to your Fall wardrobe, and here are my top reasons for investing in some metallic pieces for the season.

1. 'THE SPACE AGE' TREND. Fashion just got futuristic! My silver outfit inspiration came from this major trend which was brought to life by Chanel in their incredible Fall-Winter 17 show (with an ode to the 60's) you can watch it here. Designer Karl Lagerfield created a lifelike spaceship in the middle of the catwalk whilst playing 'Rocket Man' by Elton John, and this completely blew me away! As the metallic trend is sweeping across the fashion industry, the beauty sector has also been inspired by metallic. This can be seen in the new Revlon metallic matte shades which are ultra HD! Go silver or go home! How to incorporate this cool-girl trend? Well you can start with a sequin skirt, silver shoes, glittery nails, perhaps buy a Chanel satellite bag and then create that edgy drama by wearing them all together!
2. Fall / Winter marks the season of CELEBRATIONS! Not only is it my BIRTHDAY this weekend, LE BLOG also turns two! Hooray! In Doha the move into Autumn also means the re-opening of rooftops and clubs after the heat of the summer which is always a good excuse for a night out! Worldwide religious festivities and celebrations are going to kick off too! Isn't that just the most perfect reason for buying a new outfit or two for those office work parties, occasions and year end parties?
3. STANDING OUT from the crowd. As you know I like to be slightly over dressed but contrary to what you might think, I don't shop very often. I take my time to pick something special, especially if its that one (maybe luxury) piece which I might spend a little more money. One of my biggest style tips would be to invest in statement pieces that will last you from season to season.
4. TREAT YOURSELF. Well after all.. you're worth it! I don't need to remind you.
